Equipment

Ingredients

Teriyaki Sauce

Veggies

  • 1 Carrot
  • 1 handful baby brocoli
  • 150 grams mushrooms
  • 1 onion
  • 2 scallions

Beef Marinade

Instructions

Marinating the Beef

  • Cut the beef into 0.5 - 1cm / 0.2-0.4-inch thick slices and put them in a bowl. Add the baking soda, 2-3 tbsp of water, and start massaging the beef.
400 grams Beef, 1 tsp baking soda
  • Add white pepper, a pinch of salt, sugar, rice wine, dark soy sauce, and corn starch, and also massage them into the beef. Add oil and sesame oil and mix together. Put the beef aside and rest for 10 minutes.
½ tsp white pepper, 1 tsp sugar, 1 pinch salt, 1 tbsp Rice Wine, 1 tsp dark soy sauce, 2 tbsp corn starch, 1 tsp oil, 1 tsp pure sesame oil
  • Preparing the veggies and putting them aside separately for the stir fry:
  • Cut the Scallions into finger-sized pieces, separating the whites from the greens. Half or quarter the mushrooms, cut the carrot into thin slices and also cut the babi broccoli into finger size pieces. Cut the onion into rough pieces.
1 handful baby brocoli, 150 grams mushrooms, 1 onion, 2 scallions, 1 Carrot

Preparing the Teriyaki Sauce

  • In a medium bowl, mix regular soy sauce, water, chili flakes, sugar, ground garlic, ground ginger, and corn starch.
1 clove ground garlic, 1 thumb ground Ginger, 1 tsp chili flakes, 1 dl water, 25 ml regular soy sauce, 2 tsp sugar, 1 tbsp corn starch

Ready to Stir Fry

  • First, fry the Beef just for a minute or two until caramelized and tender. Add the chopped garlic and deglaze with rice wine. Take the beef out of the pan and set aside for later. Now fry the veggies, starting with the "harder" more dense veggies like broccoli and carrots, then add the softer ones like mushrooms and scallions.
  • When the vegetables are still a little crunchy, add the homemade Teriyaki Sauce and stir for a minute or two. Now add the beef back in and stir for one more minute. If the sauce is too thick, add a little bit of water to thin the sauce.
  • Serve your Teriyaki Beef Stir Fry together with some fragrant jasmin rice and enjoy!
